The pandemic is showing few signs of slowing down, which means I'm locking myself in the studio with my art supplies and continuing to produce an eclectic selection of really great stuff. Here's what I've done so far this year: (you have to click on the links to get to the actual collections - these are just teasers.)

The Houses Challenge
This challenge took place at Simply Art IAC on Facebook during the week of May 8-15, 2021. "jelly Bean Row" and "Fishing Village" were inspired by video tutorials hosted by Susan Hay Curtis, and "Rustic Alley" is based on a photo from Pixabay that was posted to the challenge thread. |
Dandelions
When I saw Hsiaoling Houston's beautiful dandelion painting on ArtKula in late April, I realized that the dandelions outside my studio also wanted their portraits done. |
Prayers for India
When the COVID-19 pandemic got out of control in India during late April and early May of 2021, the Artists of Isolation Lockdown at Simply Art IAC reacted with prayers, donations, and a sympathetic ear for our members from India. Susan Hay Curtis provided reference materials and inspiration for this series during the week of May 2-9, 2021. |
Urban Landscapes - The Jim Dandy Tales These are from the "Urban Scenes" tutorial with Brian Smith at Art Tutor. |
