About This Piece

This is the top end of Third Street in Procter, BC. I loved the look of the vehicles, tucked away into the trees. It was raining and chilly that day, and the fog above the trees made me want to paint the trees with messy, soppng wet, bright colours, melting into one another because of the fog. You can also just faintly see the outline of the mountains in the background.

I created a second version of this painting, with the addition of a dinosaur and a little girl, for the play, "Sarah and the Dinosaur". That painting was shown and sold during the run of the play at the Engineered Air Theatre in January of 2016.

I took photos and did sketches of this scene in Procter on October 31st, 2015.
