Objective: Sacramental Preparation/Youth Ministry Coordinator (Church Worker)
Key Qualifications: Since 1979, Ms. McRae has been actively involved with children and youth in church and other non-profit settings. From 1995 until 2003, she designed educational and training media for workers, students, and the general public. She has adapted and developed a wide variety of social and educational programs geared toward the education and socialization of children and teens. In addition to well-practised organisational skills, Judith is also a proficient artist, new media developer, writer and designer who has considerable performance under pressure. She is also a qualified First Aider, with a Standard First Aid Certificate with Level C CPR and AED.
Recent/Current Activities
2015 - 2020: Faith Formation Coordinator, St. Peter’s Parish (change of job title) – Coordinate and promote activities of the RCIA, including Catechism classes, Rites, and retreats. Provide information to parents regarding Infant Baptism, and arrange paperwork, schedule Baptism Preparation seminars and Baptism dates. Until May of 2016, also continued to provide leadership for the Youth Ministry program at St. Peter's.
Provide non-gathered resources through a web site and Bulletin Board, including a monthly calendar and posters for upcoming events.
(This was changed from a full-time to a half-time position on July 1st, 2017.)
2011 - 2015 - Youth Ministry Coordinator, St. Peter’s Parish – Promote and organize weekly activities for youth aged 11 to 17 based on participants’ interest; coordinate and train volunteers; provide leadership opportunities for young adults and older teens, organize service projects and community building opportunities as needed for high shool students and young adults; facilitate opportunities for all youth to participate actively in the life of the parish and the diocese through service projects, community building activities, and in the liturgy. Make school visits as needed and as requested by the schools. Organize seasonal retreats, summer outings, and programs, including Vacation Bible School. Keep their web page updated with current activities. Other activities include coordinating RCIA and maintaining the parish web site.
2009 – 2011– Coordinator, Saturday Morning Religion Classes, St. Pius X Church, Calgary. One half day per week, Saturdays, during autumn and winter.

2007-2010 - Youth Ministry and Sacramental Preparation Coordinator, St. Cecilia’s Parish – Promote and organize weekly activities for Junior Youth and Senior Youth based on participants’ interests and twice a month for Young Adults group; coordinate, promote, and lead Sacramental Preparation classes (First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, as well as individual instruction for older children preparing for Baptism) and coordinate/lead retreats for these; facilitate opportunities for youth to participate actively in the life of the parish and the diocese through service projects, community building activities, and in the liturgy. Make school visits as needed and as requested by the schools. Organize summer outings and programs, including Vacation Bible School. Keep their web page updated with current activities.
Up to 2009 - Volunteer Catechist for Junior High, St. Pius X Church - Develop lesson plans using text books and curriculum provided (We Are Strong Together series), taking into account the interests and developmental level of the students who will most likely be present.

2002-2009 – Secretary and Poster Contest Coordinator, Fire in the Rose Committee at Sacred Heart Church – keep a written account of all activities of the Committee; develop and maintain the web site; participate in all activities of the Committee including giving talks and providing educational resources to the general public, and coordinating with the administration at Sacred Heart School and the Knights of Columbus of Sacred Heart parish to provide a poster contest for students each year.
