Judith Reid McRae was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. From an early age, she was inspired by her father, Gordon Reid, to make art of various kinds.
She attended the Alberta College of Art and Design, receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004.
Through her father, she developed a strong love for the Procter and Nelson area, and continues to make painting trips to this region to create new artworks each summer.
The current show consists of paintings and drawings created while in the area, or inspired by the landscape and its people.
