Clues to reading the sand paintings:
- Lines signify numbers - the number of lines signifies the number of whatever the lines are attached to.
- Circles signify shields.
- Rectangles signify people. Sometimes they have body parts attached, and sometimes not. Lines underneath aren't feet - they signify the number of people.
- An eye signifies Taviel. An eagle signifies God.
- After the wedding, Rheanne becomes round. Their children cling to her sides. She has 12 boys and 4 girls.
- Rheanne, Travis, and Mary have their names inscribed on the rectangles that signify them, using Gregg's Shorthand.
