On 13th Avenue about a block and a half away from the Studio there's a beautiful rock garden where someone has gone to a great deal of effort to plant what most people would consider "weeds." I happen to think it's gorgeous, so I took quite a few photos of it when I was out walking up that way during September of 2010, and then, I painted it twice. The other painting of this scene is also in this show.
