I have always been fascinated by Lake Louise and when my friend Terry Boyle posted a photo to her FaceBook page of her kids skating on the lake, I took the opportunity to ask her permission to make a painting based upon her photo.

I love how Mount Victoria looms up the end of the lake, and I had fun creating her rocky ridges and the blue-grey shadows in the snow.
